An angel in a dog’s body and a very handsome one at that 😉

Elton is the fulfilment of my dream of having a second Deerhound. He was originally acquired as a walking companion for Aria, although from the very beginning I knew that I would show him. I also did not rule out breeding in the future, which is why Elton was purchased from a German kennel whose bloodlines are unrelated to Aria’s.

From the very start, Elton stole my heart with his exceptional, stable, and gentle temperament. He handled the ten-hour car journey from Germany calmly, spending most of it asleep, curled up against me. At home, he revealed himself to be a cheerful and trusting puppy, following me closely and taking great joy in human contact. In interactions with both unfamiliar people and dogs, he has always been polite and gentle. During walks, he often helps shy or fearful dogs overcome their anxiety, communicating with them clearly and showing that despite his size, he is a very kind and friendly dog.

Today, Elton accompanies me not only at home and on walks, but also in my professional life. He sometimes comes with me to the school where I teach kynoeducation classes combined with elements of English language learning. The balance and calmness he radiates have a positive effect on my students, who repeatedly point out that learning feels easier and more enjoyable in Elton’s presence.

A dog of outstanding beauty, appreciated in show rings both nationally and internationally. He has passed these qualities on to his offspring from the L litter, which was confirmed at the World Dog Show 2025 in Helsinki (you can read more about it here).
